When he asked if I needed a key cut as an upsell, I asked if he can do a deal (as it never hurts to ask and I had also made his job easier by doing the tedious part of removing the cylinder from the surrounding electronics and saving him time), he responded to me rudely when he could’ve just said no, sorry. It doesn’t hurt to be nice and I would’ve given them more business both then and in the future but now I’m more likely to just order a rekeying kit and do it myself.
